Dupe for a Dupe? Candy yum yum, Maybelline and More!

Happy Friday everyone :)! hope everyone is preparing for a great weekend hopefully its not as cold as it is here we went from the high 80's almost 90's to 55 degree weather no bueno! if i could have it my way it would stay about mid- 70's with a nice breeze :P haha if only! or if i could live next to a beach id be in heaven but we can only wish :). Now that its starting to warm up and summer is coming its the perfect time to play with bright colors and one color that always comes to my mind is "Candy Yum Yum" from MAC which looks like 

Now not everyone has 15$ to go out and splurge on a lipstick or maybe you just dont want to make the investment into a $15 lippie (aka meeeee!!) last year when the hype around Candy Yum Yum came out i went on a search to find the perfect drugstore dupe and i hit the nail right on the head with the maybelline vivid's collection in Fuchsia Flash? the color is spot on the texture is spot on it is the same exact thing as Candy Yum Yum  i will insert the photos of the maybelline lippie i dont personally own Candy Yum Yum but i will insert a swatch of it as well just so you can see the comparison of the two

My Swatches of Maybelline Vivid's "Fuchsia Flash"

mine isnt brand new and is very used so i apologize for the appearance of my lippie lol also im sorry for the terrible lighting i had to use natural lighting .

                                                                

ok lets just talk about how yummy these lippies smell also seriously thats another reason why i love wearing these :) these will run you about 5 or 6$ at walmart etc etc but again it also depends on your location . 

I was lucky enough to be chosen to do the #Univoxbox from influenster and in that box it had a lipstick from the brand NYC once i seen the lipstick i knew right away it was a dupe and a great dupe at that ! It is a perfect dupe for both the Candy Yum Yum and the Maybelline Vivid's the color is spot on the texture is spot on and it smells like candy itself its my new favorite for the summer! ive been grabbing it more than i have my maybelline one . aaaaaaaaannnnnnddd!!!! the price is only $1.72! yes thats right a DOLLAR! YOU CANT BEAT THAT ! plus the brand NYC always has discounts at walgreens riteaid and cvs so you can get the lipstick for free! its highly pigmented and goes on smooth its not patchy or drying on the lips .

The NYC brand has a whole collection of pinks in the expert last line and all of them are beyond perfect for summer the next time i go shopping i plan on trying to get my hands on them so i can do a further post on the brand i have fallen inlove with these lippies and i hope you do too. i plan on doing lip swatches of these if i dont add them when the post goes live i will add them into another post i plan on doing a small blog post on ways to wear a pop of color for summer so be on the look out for that post as well :) again i hope everyone is having a wonderful friday and has a wonderful weekend <3 stay safe and enjoy yourself xoxo
